Cencio Mollo
Cencio Mollo (pronounced CHEN-cho MOL-lo) is a favourite game among the children in Italy. The name is taken from the Italian words for a wet handkerchief. Age: 7+ No. of players: 6 or more Equipment: A handkerchief Time: 5+ minutes Aim: To avoid laughing when touched by the handkerchief.
1. All players sit in a circle. One player is chosen to be 'It'. 2. 'It' holds a handkerchief in his hand and goes to the first player in the circle and says, "The Cencio Mollo has come to you." The player replies back, "Let it come. I shall not cry, laugh or kiss it." 3. 'It's' job is to try and make the player laugh by using the handkerchief to touch the player's head and face. If the player does not laugh then 'It' goes on to the next player and repeats the phrase. 4. If the player laughs they must pay a penalty (do an action or something) before becoming the new 'It'. 5. Some penalty actions could include: singing a song running around the group of players acting like a monkey jumping in the air five times reciting the alphabet
