Easter Colour Hunt requires a little pre-planning but not much. Just make sure that you have wrapping paper that matches the egg for each child. You may be able to tear a little off each egg.

1. Ask players to leave the room and then hide the Easter eggs in various places around the room.

2. Players come back into the room and are each given a piece of coloured wrapping paper. They then have to search around the room until they find the egg that matches the colour of their wrapping paper. They can't pick up an egg of another colour.

3. Each child is a winner when they find their matching egg.

Variation 1: This game can be played outdoors. Mark off a certain area where the eggs are hidden and let the children know what the boundaries are.

Variation Two: Instead of using coloured wrapping paper, write the name of each child in a coloured marker pen on a tag which matches the tag on an egg with their name on it. This variation obviously takes a lot more pre-planning.

Variation Three: If there are many players then form into two or three teams and have a race to see which team can find all of their colour first. Team One may find all the red coloured Easter eggs , Team Two - blue; Team Three - gold, and so on.
