The Inuit people live in a rather harsh but beautiful land, where life is never easy. The people themselves had to be strong and courageous in order to survive in their traditional lands. This game reflects their inner strength and balance, and was helpful in raising each new generation with the necessary values for survival.

1. Before the game is played, mark a starting line and a finishing line about 3 metres (3 yards) away.

2. Players stand on the starting line with their arms folded across their chests.

3. On the starting signal they jump forward towards the finishing line with their feet remaining close together and their knees kept as straight as possible. (NOTE: Take care that you do not cause undue stress to your knee joints by keeping them too rigid. They are allowed to flex slightly to absorb the impact of jumping but should not bend enough to assist in the actual jump.)

4. The winner is the player who reaches the finishing line first.
