You will find links to six different Snakes and Ladders boards which you can print at home. There are three different varieties of boards, each in two sizes.

The smaller boards can be printed on one page but each square is quite small and you will need fairly small counters to play. Be aware that small counters can be a health hazard to young children. Larger boards print on two pages and must be cut out and pasted onto a larger piece of cardboard before you can play.

Each size board also comes in three different varieties. There is a finished board which you can simply print out and use; a coloured board which you can decorate with your own snakes and ladders; and an uncoloured board which you can colour and decorate yourself. The uncoloured board is particularly suitable for laser printers which do not print in colour.

If you wish to decorate your own board, draw about six snakes and six ladders. One snake head should be on either square 96, 97 or 98 to make it harder to finish. The length of each snake or ladder can vary from one row (up or down) to eight rows. Look at the small, finished board to get an idea of what to draw, but have fun designing your own board.

Small Boards (one page):

Finished (coloured, with snakes and ladders drawn) [62 kb]

Large Boards (two pages):

Finished (coloured, with snakes and ladders drawn) [49 kb]

Coloured (no snakes or ladders drawn) [43 kb]

Uncoloured (no snakes or ladders drawn) [50 kb]
