Cotton Balls

Cotton Balls is a children's party game with one player competing at a time.

Age: Younger children

No. of players: 2 or more

Equipment: A bag of cotton make-up (cosmetic) balls (or similar), two bowls, one large spoon

Time: 5+ minutes

Aim: To transfer as many balls as possible from one bowl to another bowl.

This game is played by one child at a time. Fill one bowl with make-up balls and place the other (empty) bowl beside it. (If you don't have any make-up balls you could use balls of scrunched up paper, or even marshmallows.)

1. Player One is blindfolded before being given a large spoon.

2. They have three tries to scoop up as many balls as they can and put them in the other bowl. They must not touch the balls with their hands or any part of their body.

3. Each ball that is transferred from one bowl to the other bowl is worth three points. Any ball that falls off the spoon on its way to the second bowl is worth one point.

4. Players take it in turns, with the most points winning the game.
