Christmas Word Searches

These Christmas Word Searches are suitable for all ages from children who are still learning to recognise letters to those who like a serious challenge.

Age: All ages

No. of Players: Any number

Equipment: Printed word searches, pens/pencils

Time: 10+ minutes

Aim: To complete a word search in the shortest time.

Here are seven puzzles to cater for all ages and skill levels.

The puzzles are in PDF format. You will need Adobe Reader (the latest version is recommended) installed on your computer. Most computers already have it installed. If not, you can download a free copy of Adobe Reader here (a new window will open so you can download it without leaving this page).

If you want to open the file in your browser window, just click on the link. However, if you want to download the file to view or print it later, then right-click on the link and choose "Save Target As" or "Save File As." Then select where you want to save the file on your hard drive.

Once you have saved the file, locate where you saved it, and double click to open. You can then print the board by clicking on the "Print" icon or the File->Print menu.

Word Search #1 - A super easy puzzle for very young children. The words are very simple and are forwards or downwards.
Word Search #2 - An easy puzzle for young children with simple Christmas words. The words are forwards or downwards only.
Word Search #3 - Another easy puzzle for young children with simple Christmas words. The words are forwards or downwards only.
Word Search #4 - A medium grade puzzle. Words may be forwards, backwards, up or down.
Word Search #5 - Another medium grade puzzle. Words may be forwards, backwards, up or down.
Word Search #6 - A hard grade puzzle with the titles of Christmas carols. Each song title can change direction (up/down/left/right/diagonal) after each word in the title.
Word Search #7 - Another hard Christmas Word Search puzzle with "Merry Christmas" in various languages from around the world. Phrases are in straight lines but may be forwards, backwards, up, down or diagonal.
Word Search #8 - A medium grade puzzle. Simple words, but they may be forwards, backwards, up or down.
