1. The organiser chooses an animal for the players to become. For example, your first race may be a kangaroo race so all players become kangaroos. The idea is for the children to assume the animal positions and move like the animal.

2. Players line up at the starting line. On the word "Go", players hop like kangaroos (or the chosen animal) to the finish line.

3. The first player across the finish line is the winner.

Some animal suggestions include:

snake - slither along the ground
tortoise - forearms on the ground
monkey - screeching with hands scratching their underarms
elephant - plod along with one arm as their trunk swaying side to side
    bird - flapping wings
    horse - neighing and galloping
chicken/rooster - squawking/crowing, flapping wings, squat while running
cow - mooing, walking on all fours
duck - quacking, flapping wings, squat while running
kangaroo - jumping with their feet together
rabbit - squatting and jumping down low

Easter Variation: Bunny Races - children can hop like a rabbit and receive an Easter egg prize at the end of the race.
