Choose a Twin is an active game that is suitable for birthday parties as well as family reunions, Christmas, Easter and Valentines Day parties.

Aim: To find a "twin" according to specific instruction.
Choose a Twin is an active game that needs a large area with plenty of space to avoid damage to people or objects. Try to get equal numbers of boys and girls playing. Players must act in a respectable and honest way during this game.
1. Boys gather at one end of the room with girls at the opposite end.
2. At a given signal from the game leader, the boys run to the girls and select a "twin" according to specific instructions.
3. The boy then carries his girl "twin" on his back to the other end of the room.
4. Any players (boys or girls) who are not successful in finding a twin are out of the game.
5. Successful pairs then separate to opposite ends of the room and await the next instruction. The leader may (if appropriate) choose an instruction for the girls to select and carry a boy "twin".
6. The last remaining couple win the game.
Specific Instructions could include:
Variation: If you don't have equal numbers of boys and girls, players can be simply divided into two teams, with the strongest player of each pair carrying the other player.
